‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Trailer Reveals Symbiote Origin as Tom Hardy Returns

The new trailer for ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ offers intriguing glimpses into the storyline, revealing the Symbiotes' perilous situation. According to Juno Temple’s character, the Symbiotes are being pursued by a mysterious entity. 

In a dramatic sequence, Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock battles a monstrous creature aboard a plane, with Venom revealing that the creature was sent by his creator. “We have something he needs,” Venom ominously declares.

In this final instalment of the ‘Venom’ trilogy, Tom Hardy reprises his role as Venom, one of Marvel’s most complex characters. The film depicts Eddie and Venom as fugitives, targeted by both their worlds. As their enemies close in, Eddie and Venom face a harrowing choice that will determine their fate and conclude their saga.

Throughout the film, Eddie Brock grapples with his inner conflicts, torn between his human identity and the alien entity he becomes when bonded with Venom. Dr. Payne (Temple) warns, “This world can’t survive if you stay together,” to which Brock responds, “But I need him.”

Joining Hardy and Temple are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham. The film is directed by Kelly Marcel, who also wrote the screenplay based on a story by Hardy and Marcel. The production team includes Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Kelly Marcel, Tom Hardy, and Hutch Parker.

The previous entries, ‘Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage’, were major box office hits, grossing $856 million and $502 million globally, respectively. Although the franchise has made connections with the Spider-Man universe, including a post-credits scene featuring Spider-Man, there’s no indication of Tom Holland's return in this final chapter.
