Warpaint Releases New Single ‘Hips’, With Dates Of Their 2022 North American Tour

Warpaint has released a slinky new tune named ‘Hips,’ which coincides with the announcement of a 14-city North American tour.

Following the release of ‘Champion’ in January and ‘Stevie’ last month, ‘Hips’ is the third single from Warpaint’s upcoming fourth album, ‘Radiate Like This,’ set to be released on 6th May via Heirlooms/Virgin.

‘Radiate Like This,’ which was first announced in January, will be the LA indie rockers’ first studio album in six years; their previous effort, ‘Heads Up,’ was released in September of 2016.

Following a journey in the UK and Europe that culminates in a performance at this year’s Primavera Sound, Warpaint will travel to North America for two short trips. The band will kick things off with a six-city east coast tour, including stops in Philadelphia, Washington, Cambridge, Brooklyn, Toronto and Detroit. In August, the band will embark on a west coast tour, with stops in Santa Ana and Portland.

Belief, the deep house side-project of Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa, will provide support for the east coast performances (alongside Bryan Hollon of Neon Neon). On 23rd April, tickets for all 14 concerts will go on sale.

Theresa Wayman of Warpaint revealed some specifics about the topic of ‘Radiate Like This’ to NME in April saying that there’s a song from her higher self to lower self. She explained that there is a song about not requiring anchors for anything.
