Watch Nicolas Cage Unravel in the Intense and Thrilling Trailer for ‘The Surfer’

In ‘The Surfer’, Nicolas Cage returns with another powerful role, this time battling for more than just waves.

 Cage plays a dad who goes back to the beach where he grew up to surf with his son in this psychological thriller, which was directed by Lorcan Finnegan and debuted at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.  But when a bunch of antagonistic locals make it apparent that visitors are not allowed in the lake, his plans swiftly fall apart.

 As tensions rise, Cage’s character is enmeshed in an unending battle, his shame and rage growing as the summer heat pushes him to the verge of insanity.

In addition to Julian McMahon, Nic Cassim, Miranda Tapsell, Alexander Bertrand, and Justin Rosniak, the film was written by Thomas Martin.  Cage, who has recently embraced horror and psychological thrillers with movies like ‘The Wicker Man’, ‘Longlegs’, and ‘Renfield’, is also a producer on the project.

 Kiernan Shipka, his co-star in Longlegs, has earlier hailed his horrifying and captivating change in that movie.

 On 2nd May, ‘The Surfer’ will be released in theatres.
