‘Wednesday’ fans prepare for a thrilling return to Nevermore Academy as the highly anticipated second season promises to deliver even more spine-chilling adventures. A newly released behind-the-scenes video offers a tantalising glimpse of what to expect, featuring familiar faces and some exciting newcomers in this Tim Burton-directed series.

In the video, we see the cast, including Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday, teasing the darker and grittier tone of the upcoming season. Ortega, embodying the titular character, wields a sharp object and quips, “Let’s play dolls,” setting the stage for the macabre fun that lies ahead. Her playful yet ominous tone suggests that fans should brace themselves for a wild ride.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Morticia Addams, promises that this season will be packed with unexpected twists. “This season will be big,” she declares, hinting at the dramatic developments that await viewers. The sneak peek is enough to make any fan eager for the next chapter, with Ortega adding, “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed, and I’m not that generous.”

Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Miller have expressed their excitement for the return of all the Addams family members to Nevermore Academy. They describe this season as featuring a "dream cast of icons and new faces," making it clear that both nostalgia and fresh talent will be prominent in the storyline.

Among the newcomers is the renowned Steve Buscemi, who will portray Barry Dort. The season will also feature guest stars like Joanna Lumley, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Haley Joel Osment, each expected to bring their unique flair to the eerie world of Wednesday.

In addition to the exciting new cast, regulars such as Billie Piper, Owen Painter, Noah Taylor, and Evie Templeton will join the series. However, fans will bid farewell to characters played by Percy Hynes White, Jaime McShane, and Naomi J. Ogawa, leaving room for fresh dynamics in the story.

The first season of ‘Wednesday’ captivated audiences with its dark humour and supernatural elements, following Ortega’s character as she honed her psychic abilities while unravelling mysteries at Nevermore Academy. 

With the groundwork laid, Season 2 is set to delve deeper into the eerie universe, making it an unmissable event for fans of the beloved franchise.
