The R&B superstar The Weeknd surprised fans with his appearance in the new “Uncut Gems” trailer. News has it that the singer is playing himself in the this thrilling chase flick. This is his first time in front of the camera as he’s joined by a stellar cast including Adam Sandler, Idina Menzel, Kevin Garnett and more. Sandler himself takes on a new persona, depicting a jeweller who runs into some serious trouble with some elite clientele. Viewers are excited to see what he does with the role as it’s different from his usual comic roles. The project was shot a while ago as the trailer shows The Weeknd sporting his iconic hair.
