Wendy Williams Steps Out for Rare Appearance at Son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s College Graduation
Wendy Williams celebrated her son Kevin Hunter Jr.’s college graduation with a rare public appearance. A joyful time for her family, the 60-year-old former talk show host attended the event at Florida International University. Photographs showed Wendy sitting with family members in her own motorized scooter with Chanel and Louis Vuitton designs. She accessorized for the event with a striking “W” necklace, black boots, and a glittery, low-cut dress.
Wendy and her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, have a 24-year-old son named Kevin. Following claims that Hunter fathered a child with a different lady, the pair were divorced in 2020. Hunter never verified the assertions, even though he admitted to certain errors.

Concerns about Wendy’s health have existed since ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ was cancelled in 2022 because of her continued struggle with Graves’ illness. In February 2024, her son Kevin openly expressed his worries in the teaser for ‘Where is Wendy Williams?’ a Lifetime documentary that examines her life after the show’s finale. He expressed worries about her welfare, accusing others in her immediate vicinity of not looking out for her best interests and casting doubt on Sabrina Morrissey, her court-appointed guardian.
Wendy’s family, including Kevin Jr., was not aware of her primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), which were diagnosed by her medical team that same month. After thanking supporters for their support, Wendy subsequently stated that she needed quiet and personal space.

Wendy has kept a low profile amid legal disputes with her guardian and the Lifetime documentary’s production. In August, she and Kevin went to a holistic store in Newark, New Jersey, which was their last public appearance. Wendy’s attendance at Kevin’s graduation demonstrated her commitment to family during this momentous occasion, despite her struggles.
