Future Walks Amid Burning Streets & Zombies in ‘Posted With Demons’

Future dropped his eighth studio album, ‘High Off Life‘ in early May, and finally one of the tracks on this album got treated to its very own music video. Perhaps that’s how the industry works, it’s never too late to release a music video, huh? The lucky tune is, ‘Posted With Demons’ and it has turned out to be quite the visual masterpiece.

For starters, the track uses some very unique production elements. Before the rap star’s first verse kicks off, we hear a stunning piano riff, creating the dual sensation of melancholia and anticipation. Future’s laid back rhymes combined with a groovy set of beats makes a nice contrast against the more melodic foundation of the song.

Future Makes Some Bold Statements Through Lyrics & Visuals

Interestingly, the rapper’s lyrics oscillate between cliched lines and some vulnerable, weighted statements. We’ve picked a few lines from the latter to give you a taste of the song:

You can see with your eyes on your own
I done went against odds before
Makin’ it, takin’ it, they see the wrong
If the streets don’t kill you first, n**ga
It’s gon’ make you strong

The music video for, ‘Posted With Demons’ opens with Future standing on top of a police car, splattered with blood. In fact, the star delivers most of his verses from this spot. And perhaps, taking recent events into consideration,  we can say that this particular visual makes the rapper’s stance quite clear. The video then witnesses Future performing from within circles of fire, under grey skies and inside spooky, smoky rooms. Oh and before we forget, he’s almost always accompanied by zombies.

With ‘High Off Life’ notching the star’s seventh No. 1 on the Billboard 200, he’s truly added yet another feather to his cap with this record. Anyway, for now, or until Future drops something more, brace yourselves for ‘Posted With Demons’.
