Kehlani is Making New Music with This Special Someone

Whenever an artist returns to their studio to create new music, everyone’s intent on finding crumbs about this new project. But Kehlani, like many artists, never gives in too easily. And yet, we’re falling hard for the crumbs she offered. 

The young star recently took to Instagram to put up a series of heartwarming photos of her one-year-old daughter, Adeya. The little one balances on her knee, attempting to see what a microphone tastes like. And yet, the ultimate gift arrived in the fourth slide: a brief clip of Kehlani saying, “Hellooo” into the mic before Adeya echoes the same. Honestly, the urge to coo is far too strong. 

Lauren Jauregui, Jessie Reyez, and even Atlantic Records commented below with a flood of sweet emojis. 

Kehlani in Quarantine

Now, apart from this gem, it appears that Kehlani has a new favourite pastime: making music videos in quarantine. She recently dropped one for her track, ‘Bad News,’ which finds its space on her latest album, ‘It Was Good Until It Wasn’t’. 

The video witnesses Kehlani in a stunning wedding dress, under a black and white filter. The star is seen sitting amid a pile of newspapers, posing for a photoshoot, lighting a cigarette, sitting inside a sleek pair of wheels and our personal favourite: cocking a pistol. There’s no plot to the music video and yet, it’s quite the visual treat, nonetheless. Unless the plot is that she’s got someone on her Kill-list and is gearing up for all the action on her wedding day. In 2020, anything is possible. 

Interestingly, this marks Kehlani’s fifth video shot in quarantine. Now, while the star has left us sated with this piece and her heartwarming social media updates, there’s no news of any official collaboration, as of yet. 

But, we can firmly say, we’re satisfied with our crumbs.
