NCT U Arrive with A New Rebellious Anthem ‘Misfit’

The Kpop world has been witness to a flurry of activity now that comeback season is in full swing. And over the weekend, the rising stars of NCT U arrived with a first taste of their upcoming album, “Resonance Pt. 1”. The boys dropped their new single, ‘Misfit’ which was also accompanied by its very own music video. 

Now, the track opens with a sleek cocktail of beats tossed up with a funky guitar hook. We then see NCT U spit some fiery rhymes, each member boasting of their distinctive rap styles. Interestingly, the production elements seen on this track adopt a slightly retro, hip-hop sound, giving the song an extra push. 

NCT U Break Free From Their Shackles

Like the title suggests, we see NCT U tap into their rebellious side for ‘Misfit’. They dabble with ideas of fighting against an oppressive system, of breaking free of their mould and treading along their own path. These are familiar themes and yet, the band has managed to bring them to life with their hard-hitting songwriting. Take a look:

Don’t stop with attitude like you were fifteen

We look at it differently so it’s crooked, uh

Now, “NCT 2020: Resonance Pt. 1” will in fact make its landing later in the day. It’s set to feature a good 12 tracks, including dual lead singles “Make A Wish” and “From Home.” Next in line, the end of October will see the rookie group, TXT, drop their sparkling new mini album, “Minisode 1: Blue Hour“.
