Yungblud Gets A Tad Bit Impulsive in ‘Strawberry Lipstick’

The up and coming, Yungblud, has just shaken up the music scene with his brand new single, ‘Strawberry Lipstick’. 

This Punk-Rock tune follows along the same brushstroke of the young star’s previous numbers. Over a powerful set of beats and guitar riffs, Yungblud’s vocals settle. In this tune, we see him dabble with a bit of screamo and while his verses don’t exactly arrive at the front of the stage, his chorus certainly does. It brings a wild burst of energy, disrupting the steady, almost repetitive sound we witness from the previous verses. 

Yungblud Yearns for Affection, Patience & Strawberries…

‘Strawberry Lipstick’ sees Yungblud yearning for a tad bit of patience and a whole load of affection from his lover. He pleads for her to go easy on him, considering his rather reckless nature and “lack of self-control”. Here’s a look at the lyrics:

Ive’ got a toxic attitude and lack self control
A reasonably f*cked up individual
Need you to cleanse my sins so I can go to school  

I’m gonna bite all of your fingers, put ’em in my mouth

Now, coming to the music video, you might want to sit down for this because it’s a cocktail of dirty, bizarre and oddly aesthetic visuals.  

In the music video, Yungblud brings his characteristic energy to the table. We see him trying his hand at a bit of boxing, soaking in a tub full of strawberries, while also attempting to see how many he can stuff in his mouth. Yungblud is also seen alongside singer-songwriter, Jesse Jo Stark, who has the young Rocker quite literally wrapped around her finger. Yup, it’s all sorts of nasty. 

“Strawberry Lipstick” will find its space on Yungblud’s upcoming sophomore album, due for release this fall. But first, throw all apprehension aside and hit play.
