Beyond her musical achievements, the multi-talented artist has been making waves with a series of stunning debuts that have solidified her status as a rising force to be reckoned with. The momentum continued to build as she took to the hallowed stage of ‘Saturday Night Live’ making her debut as the musical guest for the show’s season finale. This remarkable achievement was complemented by her role as an opening act for the legendary Taylor Swift on the mammoth ‘Eras Tour’, where she captivated audiences throughout significant portions of the tour.

To say that the singer and actress is having a moment would be an understatement – it is a culmination of over a decade of hard work and dedication, tracing its roots back to her earliest days as a child actor. Her journey into the entertainment industry began with her small-screen debut, which, although not counting the YouTube videos she posted as a child covering pop songs, occurred in a 2011 episode of ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’. At the tender age of 11, she portrayed a young victim of abuse in a scene opposite the iconic Christopher Meloni’s Detective Elliot Stabler.

However, her true breakthrough came in when she was cast in a lead role in the Disney Channel’s ‘Girl Meets World’. For three seasons, she embodied the character of Maya Hart, the best friend of Rowan Blanchard’s Riley Matthews, in the highly anticipated reboot of the beloved series ‘Boy Meets World’.

Since the conclusion of ‘Girl Meets World’ in, Carpenter has seamlessly transitioned into more mature roles, showcasing her versatility in films such as ‘The Hate U Give’ and ‘The Short History of the Long Road’, as well as in teen romantic comedies like ‘Tall Girl’ and Disney’s ‘Clouds’.

Alongside her acting endeavours, Carpenter has passionately pursued her musical ambitions, releasing five albums since 2015 and embarking on extensive tours, both as a headliner and as an opening act for musical icons like Ariana Grande and, most recently, Taylor Swift. All of these accomplishments have culminated in her current moment in the spotlight, which continues to intensify as the ‘Song of Summer’ season reaches its peak.
