Jimmy Kimmel made sure that everyone at the Oscars was not only amused but also well-fed with snack boxes by bringing his trademark humour. The four-time Academy Award presenter carried on his custom of giving carefully chosen snack boxes to Hollywood’s elite, evoking memories of his actions from 2023 and 2018.
Under their seats at the Dolby Theatre during the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles, attendees found personalized boxes with a sticker of Kimmel holding an Oscars trophy. A bottle of water, a box of candies, a note from Kimmel, and a soft pretzel with mustard from Shappy Pretzel Co. were all included in each box. Participants indulged in a variety of candies, including Milk Duds and Mike and Ike.

One significant item in the snack box was a donation from Kimmel to St. Joseph Center, which emphasized the value of “keeping the karma flowing” for the organization’s work feeding impoverished families and the homeless and offering mental health services.
A humorous note inside each box referred to the lack of snacks during a host-free event, a reference to the host-free years of 2019 through 2020 and 2021 for the Oscars. Similar treats and charitable contributions, like a donation to the Los Angeles Food Bank in 2023 and 2018, were also included in Kimmel’s previous snack boxes.
Incorporating a hint of tequila into the festivities, Kimmel and his Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez guests to savour a shot of Don Julio tequila alongside their appetizers during the Oscars show.
Memorable moments abound in the evening, including the moving speeches of first-time winners Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Robert Downey Jr. Movie reunions such as the reunion between Michael Keaton and Catherine O’Hara from Beetlejuice on stage and the funny moment between Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger when presenting awards added to the charm.
