A24’s ‘MaXXXine’ Thrills Fans With Exciting Hollywood Bus Tour: ‘Ride or Die’

This tour promised not just a dive into the glitz and glamour of 1980s Hollywood, but also a journey into the chilling mystery and excitement inspired by A24’s upcoming film, ‘MaXXXine.’ In anticipation of the final instalment of director Ti West’s trilogy, A24 has partnered with LA’s renowned Starline Tours to create a limited-edition bus tour that takes participants on an exciting ride through the film’s iconic sites. 

As the tour began, curious tourists plugged in their provided headphones, eagerly awaiting the adventure. The second stop brought them directly outside the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery, “stars are dying to get in.” Pausing at this cultural landmark, the group watched an exclusive clip featuring the aftermath of a gruesome murder scene, leaving an eerie feeling throughout the bus. This reminder of the very real era of the ‘Night Stalker,’ a serial killer who terrorised California in the mid-1980s, added a chilling layer to the fictional narrative of ‘MaXXXine.’

“Our most chilling part of the tour takes us through the dark alleys and winding roads that once fell under the shadow of Richard Ramirez, the infamous ‘Night Stalker’ who preyed upon LA,”. From there, the bus climbed through the Hollywood Hills, passing stunning vistas and landing at Mulholland Drive’s Universal Lookout—which offered a panoramic overlook of Universal’s massive studio backlot.

“Imagine Maxine Minx gazing over these hills, dreaming big and preparing for her breakthrough role,” as narrated, as an exclusive scene of ‘MaXXXine’ shot on the lot rolled in the background.

The tour then ventured through some of the most famous neighbourhoods in Hollywood, offering glimpses of historic theatres and production studios that have shaped the entertainment industry. The highlighted spots where key scenes from MaXXXine were filmed, make the experience even more immersive.

As the tour continued, the 1980s Hollywood nightlife, where the glitz often masked a gritty reality. This part of the tour emphasises the contrast between the dreams and the harsh truths that Maxine Minx navigates in the film. Exclusive behind-the-scenes anecdotes and clips provided a deeper insight into the making of ‘MaXXXine’, showcasing the dedication of the cast and crew in bringing this story to life.

Finally, the tour concluded at a location synonymous with the Hollywood dream—the iconic Hollywood Sign. Encouraging everyone to imagine Maxine’s determination and resilience as she gazed upon this symbol of ambition and hope. The last exclusive scene featured Maxine at a pivotal moment in her journey, leaving everyone with a sense of anticipation for the film’s release.
