Adele Defends Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl Appearance: “Get a Life”

Adele has spoken out against those who criticize Taylor Swift’s appearance at American football games. Swift, who has been attending Kansas City Chiefs games regularly since she began dating player Travis Kelce, has been recognized for attracting a new audience to the sport.

However, Swift has faced backlash for her presence at the games, particularly for frequently appearing on screen. She’s been the target of SNL sketches and awkward Oscar jokes and some players, like Rob Gronkowski and veteran Tony Dungy, have voiced their frustration with her constant exposure.

During one of her ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency shows, Adele defended Swift’s attendance at the matches, urging critics to “get a life.” “I want the 49ers to win, but I also want the Chiefs to win,” Adele remarked. “I think I want the Chiefs to win just because Taylor Swift supports them…’

“And to all of you complaining about Taylor Swift being at the games, get a life! She’s with her man! She’s actually made it more enjoyable to watch because, like I said, I have no idea what’s going on,” the ‘Hello’ singer continued.

Kelce’s brother, Jason, has also come to Swift’s defence regarding her presence at NFL games. In a recent interview with WCPO 9, he stated, “If people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t show it. I know that.”

“She’s a global star,” Jason continued. “She’s the epitome of an artist right now, a singer-songwriter, incredibly talented, an amazing role model for young women worldwide. So I think the NFL would be foolish not to showcase her and be a role model for all the young girls out there.”
