All About the ‘Outlast’ Singer & Indie Artist Tejas

Tejas Menon or Tejas is a singer-songwriter from Mumbai, India. He has a unique belief that a singer does not have to be defined by one particular genre of music, but instead by a variety of sounds and uses this to define his signature sounds. However, he is strongly rooted in pop-rock and it has a major influence on his original tracks. He has released two critically acclaimed albums; ‘Small Victories’ (2014) and ‘Make It Happen” (2017), with the latter hitting #1 on the India Pop Charts on iTunes upon its release.

His most recent album ‘Outlast’ released on June 3rd of this year which has been received well by fans and got great reviews so far. Tejas is known as one of the most prolific singer-songwriters to come out of India in the past few years. He turned 30 in 2019 and writes about all that he learnt in his twenties in his latest album. Tejas’ lyrics are inspired by events from his own life and stories from his journey to find his identity. Though he admits that he started off by writing about love and girls, he seems to have found his true spirit in writing about things that are more generic as well as deeply rooted in his own experiences. His unique music and sounds have taken him places.
