Amy Winehouse ‘Back To Black’: Here’s The Soundtrack For The Biopic

The soundtrack for the upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic, ‘Back To Black,’ has been revealed, featuring an original song by Nick Cave.

Directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, the film is scheduled to hit cinemas on 12th April. It promises to chronicle the life and career of the iconic London singer, with Marisa Abela portraying the title role. Now, details about the official soundtrack have emerged, boasting songs by Winehouse herself and other legendary artists.

Titled ‘Back To Black: Songs from the Original Motion Picture,’ the album is slated for release on 17th Ma via UMR/Island Records. It comprises three original recordings from Winehouse’s influential debut album, ‘Frank,’ and three tracks from her acclaimed LP, ‘Back To Black.’

Additionally, the soundtrack introduces a new original track titled ‘Song for Amy,’ performed by Nick Cave. Cave, along with longtime collaborator Warren Ellis, crafted and recorded the film’s score.

The album also features five songs by artists who inspired Amy Winehouse, including The Shangri-Las, Billie Holiday, Minnie Riperton, Dinah Washington, and Sarah Vaughan.
