Andrew Garfield is sporting a bold new look that has fans doing a double-take. The 42-year-old actor recently showed off a shaggy blonde hairstyle during a trip to Las Vegas with his girlfriend, actress Monica Barbaro.

The couple enjoyed a date night at the famous Penn & Teller magic show at the Rio Hotel and Casino. The magicians shared a photo on Instagram recently, posing backstage with the pair. In the snapshot, Andrew Garfield kept things casual in a brown hoodie and a navy baseball cap that partially tucked away his new golden locks, while Barbaro looked chic in a simple white button-down and gold jewellery.

Andrew Garfield on His Viral Last Year's Golden Globes Appearance

While Andrew Garfield skipped the Golden Globes earlier this week, he has recently been laughing off his viral appearance from the previous year's ceremony. During a conversation with MTV in late 2025, he addressed the internet's obsession with a moment where he put on glasses and adjusted his shirt while presenting an award.

Garfield admitted that while fans thought he was trying to be intentionally suave or alluring, the reality was much less glamorous. He explained that being surrounded by so many famous peers left him feeling a sense of pure terror. As he walked onto the stage, he realised with panic that he couldn't actually read the teleprompter. He remembered thinking to himself that he needed to find his glasses, luckily realising they were in his hand just in time.

Andrew Garfield's Wardrobe Anxiety

The actor also confessed to a bit of wardrobe anxiety in the moment. He recalled feeling like his shirt was open far too wide and worrying that he was showing off too much skin. Every time he tried to fix the shirt, it seemed to open even more.

Andrew Garfield noted that he was trying to remember to breathe, which resulted in the facial expressions people caught on camera. Ultimately, he joked that while everyone thought he was aiming for a "sexy" look, it was really just a case of public nerves—though he teased that perhaps being a bit neurotic is its own kind of desirable.
