Anne Hathaway’s Initial Reaction to Nicholas Galitzine’s Frosted Tips Was Not Pleasant

When Anne Hathaway first encountered her future co-star Nicholas Galitzine for their project ‘The Idea of You,’ it wasn’t exactly a case of love at first sight. Hathaway was taken aback by Galitzine’s appearance, particularly his hair.

“I giggled when he walked in, and then I thought, ‘What are we going to do about that hair?'” she recounted during an interview with Access Hollywood, reflecting on her initial impression of Galitzine.

Galitzine, 29, explained that he had blonde hair with frosted tips at the time, which left Hathaway puzzled. “I had dyed it blonde for a role, but it had grown out at that point,” he clarified. Hathaway jokingly remarked that she thought there was a glow emanating from Galitzine, but he attributed it to the peroxide in his hair.

Despite Hathaway’s initial reservations about his hairstyle, Galitzine revealed that their chemistry read for ‘The Idea of You’ was a transformative experience. He recalled how open and enjoyable the audition process was, noting that they both sensed a connection and chemistry from the start. 

Galitzine even had to bring a song and convince Hathaway to dance with him during the audition, which added an extra layer of nervousness.

Ultimately, Galitzine was thrilled when he received the call confirming his role in the project, expressing his joy at being chosen to portray the character Hayes.
