It seems that Mariah Carey and Bryan Tanaka may have ended their relationship. Speculation arose as Tanaka has been noticeably absent from Carey's ‘Merry Christmas One and All’ tour since mid-November. Additionally, sources indicate that Carey, who is currently celebrating the holidays in Aspen with her 12-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe (shared with ex-husband Nick Cannon), is doing so without Tanaka.
This departure from their usual snowy getaway together marks the first time in years that the Songbird Supreme and her creative director, who has had a professional relationship since 2006, are not spending the holidays together.

Representatives for Carey declined to provide any comments. The last public appearance of the couple was in March during Carey's birthday celebration, where Tanaka shared a photo on Instagram expressing affection for Carey.
The couple's connection dates back to 2006 when Bryan Tanaka joined Mariah Carey on her Adventures of Mimi tour. After a decade of working together, the ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ singer and the choreographer transitioned into a romantic relationship in 2016. Despite a brief breakup in spring 2017 followed by a reunion, the ‘Obsessed’ singer and the dancer have shared tours and celebrated Christmas together since they started dating.

In 2017, Tanaka joined Carey on stage during her ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ shows and spent the December holiday with her and her children on their annual Aspen trip. They continued this tradition in 2019 and 2021, with Carey expressing her happiness during the latter.
In a recent digital cover story, the Queen of Christmas shared her excitement for the 2023 holiday season, emphasizing her determination to make it a joyful experience.
"I've been looking forward to this Christmas for, like, the whole year. Since last year — because last year wasn't the greatest," Carey revealed. "Come hell or high water, this year, this Christmas, we are going to have fun."
