Are Tate McRae and The Kid LAROI an item? The two music maestros were seen enjoying a meal at Giorgio Baldi in Los Angeles, adding fuel to the dating rumours sparked during their recent escapade in Mexico.
Keen-eyed followers noticed intriguing parallels in the backgrounds of photos shared by both the ‘Greedy’ crooner and LAROI. Additionally, McRae’s Instagram selfie featured a shirt remarkably akin to one worn by the ‘Stay’ artist during the tropical sojourn. LAROI, not one to be subtle, dropped a sunglass-wearing smiling emoji on McRae’s vacation post, and a fan even pointed out a tattoo sighting in a group shot she shared.
McRae’s and LAROI’s Past Romances
McRae’s romantic timeline includes a stint with ice hockey star, Cole Sillinger from late 2021 to early last year. Before that, she was romantically entwined with fellow Calgary, Alberta native Jonny Hader from 2019 to 2021.

LAROI, on the other hand, recently bid adieu to his three-year relationship with Katarina Deme. Confirming the split, he wiped his Instagram clean of photos with the TikTok star in August 2023, replacing them with a snapshot sporting a shirt that defiantly declared, “F— LOVE.” The pain of heartbreak served as the muse for McRae’s latest album, ‘Think Later,’ which hit the airwaves in December 2023.
Opening up in a Vogue interview around the album’s release, McRae shared insights into the emotional rollercoaster that inspired her lyrics.
“I feel like I’m in a whole new phase of my life,” McRae expressed. “I just feel a lot more grown, and that I’ve gone through experiences that I was too terrified to talk about before.”
She added, “Over the past year and a half, I made a lot of decisions based on intuition and what I was feeling in my heart. That resulted in some of the most beautiful relationships and passionate times of my life, and I fell in love so hard, but I went through experiences that were very unpleasant too, and felt the repercussions of that approach harshly. When you lead with intuition, you feel the consequences 10 times as hard. That’s really how the album shakes out.”
