Are We Finally Getting a New Album from Rihanna? A$AP Rocky Says She’s ‘Working on It’

Rihanna’s return to the music scene is on the way, according to A$AP Rocky!

During a stroll in Paris, the Grammy-nominated rapper was approached by a Rihanna fan eager to learn about her much-anticipated ninth studio album, which is still without a release date or confirmed title.

Encouraged by the fans to discuss the album with Rihanna, Rocky offered a brief update with a smile. “She’s working on it,” he said, as captured in a fan-shot video circulating on social media. His comment sparked cheers from passersby and shouts of appreciation for Rocky.

Rocky’s announcement comes over eight years after the release of Rihanna’s Grammy-nominated album Anti, which featured chart-toppers like ‘Work,’ ‘Love On the Brain’ and ‘Kiss It Better.’

Despite the absence of any formal announcement, Rihanna has kept mum about her upcoming music. In December, during a chat with Highsnobiety on the red carpet, when asked about her plans for 2024, Rihanna playfully responded, “I mean, I can’t tell you everything, girl. It’s giving crystal ball.”

Last February, Rihanna acknowledged fans’ anticipation of new music during an interview with Michael Strahan on ‘Good Morning America.’ “They are waiting,” she acknowledged. “I’m excited to actually put new music out, but I don’t have any updates for you on that yet.”

While Rihanna’s focus on music remains uncertain, she has been juggling various commitments, including her fashion and beauty empire, along with raising her two children with A$AP Rocky.
