Ariana Grande Addresses Viral Voice Change Clip: ‘I’ve Always Done This’

Ariana Grande recently addressed the notable change in her speaking voice during an interview. The second half of her Podcrushed podcast episode, hosted by Penn Badgley, highlighted this change when viewers noticed a significant shift in her pitch while answering a question.

The clip quickly gained traction online, with social media users commenting on the drastic voice change. One user mentioned, “This voice change is sending me 😭😭 regular Ariana was coming out for a second,” while another wrote, “THE SWITCH IN THE VOICE PLEASE HELP ME😭😭😭.”

Grande took to TikTok to clarify the situation, explaining in the comments, “habit (speaking like this for two years) and also vocal health 🙂 🍵.” She further elaborated, “I intentionally change my vocal placement (high/low) often depending on how much singing I’m doing 😭 I’ve always done this BYE.”

In addition to this revelation, Grande is gearing up to release more music from her Eternal Sunshine album, including a remix of ‘The Boy Is Mine’ featuring Brandy and Monica. Both R&B icons make a brief appearance in the music video for her track.

Announcing the remix on Instagram, Grande expressed her disbelief and gratitude. “i ……… cannot believe this is real (I don’t know if I will even long after it’s out),” she wrote. She thanked Brandy and Monica for their generosity and inspiration, emphasising how much this collaboration means to her.

She added, “This is in celebration of you both and the impact that you have had on every vocalist, vocal producer, musician, and artist that is creating today. I loooooove you both so much. thank you !!!!!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹.”
