Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater were seen enjoying an evening out together. The singer and Broadway star were photographed in New York City on Friday, where they reportedly had dinner with Ariana’s father, Ed Butera, at the family’s favourite Italian restaurant before attending Slater’s performance in Spamalot.
During the outing, Ariana, 30, donned an all-black ensemble with a furry bucket hat, mini skirt, and a black top featuring furry cuffs. On the other hand, Slater, 31, opted for an athletic look with a zip-up, joggers, and running shoes.
According to a source close to Grande, the two enjoy supporting each other in their work. The source mentioned, “When she’s done with work, Ariana loves going to the theatre when she can.”
Earlier this month, Grande shared a series of photos on Instagram, including one that featured a Spam can ornament hanging on a wall Christmas tree made of green garland.
Certainly, fans will recognize the ornament as a nod to Spamalot, the Tony-winning musical adaptation of ‘Monty Python and The Holy Grail’ from 2005. A revival of this comedic musical is presently running on Broadway, featuring Slater, 31, in various roles.
Grande has consistently supported the show, attending performances at the St. James Theatre in New York City to watch Slater in action multiple times since rehearsals commenced in October. She was notably present to cheer him on during the show’s initial preview on Halloween and attended the Broadway musical’s opening night on 15th November.
The connection between Grande and Slater originated on the set of the upcoming movie adaptation of ‘Wicked’, and their offscreen romance blossomed from there.
Their relationship, officially confirmed in July, began following Grande’s separation from husband Dalton Gomez and Slater’s separation from wife Lilly Jay. Grande and Gomez, 28, finalized their divorce in October after two years of marriage.

Grande and Slater share a mutual love for musical theatre. Slater marked his Broadway debut in 2017 as the title character in ‘SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical’. Meanwhile, Grande began her Broadway journey with a significant role in Jason Robert Brown’s short-lived 2008 musical, ‘13’.
Despite their shared passion for musicals, the couple has been discreet about their relationship since it became public. In September, a source informed, “They are just trying to navigate their new relationship in private.”
Even though Grande has been spotted at Spamalot several times, she and Slater have yet to publicly appear on the red carpet.
