A Long‑Awaited Return: 'ARIRANG' and New York City Fan Event

The seven-member South Korean group BTS, which has millions of followers worldwide, is making a spectacular comeback. BTS is set to perform a special show and answer questions from fans at a much-awaited event in New York City after completing their mandatory military duty and going over four years without a complete group live show in the United States. Three days following the release of their new studio album 'ARIRANG' on 20th March, the band will perform and engage with ARMY at the 'Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE' event on Monday, 23rd March, 2026.

About 1,000 top Spotify listeners are invited to participate in the immersive album celebration, which includes live performances, interactive experiences, and fan questions answered by BTS members directly. This is their first stage appearance in the United States in nearly five years. 'ARIRANG' is BTS' tenth studio album and their first full‑group record in over three years, signalling a historic comeback for the global icons.

The title 'ARIRANG' is inspired by traditional Korean culture and themes of resilience and connection, deeply resonating with fans. From a worldwide Google treasure hunt to unique Spotify "SWIMSIDE" experiences, BTS has been generating excitement since the announcement of its album and the tracklist. What 'ARIRANG' Brings: Music, Documentary, Tours, and More

BTS, which consists of RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, is expected to make one of the biggest comebacks in recent pop music history. On 20th March, 'ARIRANG' will be released globally, which will be a significant event for fans who have been anticipating the septet's full comeback. A day later, on 21st March, BTS will perform live for free at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. The event will be streamed worldwide on Netflix under the title 'BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE: ARIRANG.'

In addition to the live performance and album release, Netflix will also drop a documentary titled 'BTS: The Return' giving viewers a close-up view of the group's post-military adventure by documenting their reunion and creative process. However, the thrill doesn’t end here. Following the album rollout, BTS is set to embark on the 'Arirang World Tour' beginning 9th April, 2026, which will include more than 80 performances in more than 20 countries until March 2027.

With several dates selling out soon after tickets were released, this tour represents the group's first full globe tour since their mandatory service break and underlines their ongoing global influence. Arirang-themed pop-ups and Spotify activations are happening in cities all over the world, creating excitement and encouraging fan interaction.
