‘Atlas’ Trailer: Watch Jennifer Lopez Star in a New Sci-fi Thriller

Netflix has just treated fans to a sneak peek of Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming film, ‘Atlas.’ The trailer unveils Lopez in a gritty role, poised to rescue humanity by taking on the machines. Directed by Brad Peyton, this sci-fi drama casts Lopez as a “brilliant but misanthropic data analyst with a deep distrust of artificial intelligence.”

The film’s synopsis teases, “Atlas embarks on a mission to apprehend a rogue robot with whom she shares a mysterious past. But when things don’t go according to plan, her only chance of safeguarding humanity’s future from AI lies in putting her trust in it.”

Lopez, who’s no stranger to action-packed roles, having previously starred in the hit film ‘The Mother,’ is set to thrill audiences once again in Atlas as she battles against technology’s sinister forces.

Alongside Lopez, the star-studded cast includes Simu Liu, Sterling K. Brown, Gregory James Cohan, Abraham Popoola, Lana Parrilla and Mark Strong. Leo Sardarian and Aron Eli Coleite penned the screenplay, while Samson Mücke and Michael Riley McGrath served as executive producers.

Sterling K. Brown, last seen in the Oscar-nominated ‘American Fiction,’ has been making waves in Hollywood, while Simu Liu, known for his roles in ‘Shang Chi’ and ‘Barbie,’ is set to deliver another standout performance.

In addition to ‘Atlas,’ Lopez has recently dropped her latest film, ‘This is Me… Now: A Love Story,’ based on her music album of the same name. Available on Amazon Prime, the movie is a narrative-driven journey through Lopez’s life and her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck. The film, which traces Lopez’s story until 2023, has been well-received by audiences.
