Austin Butler Calls Zendaya a ‘Queen’

Austin Butler, 32, recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ to discuss his role in the upcoming sci-fi action film, ‘Dune: Part Two’. During the interview, Butler praised his Dune co-star Zendaya, 27, referring to her as a “queen” and commending her dedication for attending a film screening despite not feeling well.

Fallon inquired about the duo’s initial meeting, suggesting they met on the Disney Channel. However, Butler clarified that their paths overlapped during their time on teen sitcoms. Both actors featured on Disney shows, with Zendaya starring in ‘K.C. Undercover’ and ‘Shake It Up’, while Butler appeared in ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ and projects like ‘Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure’.

Reflecting on their early connection, Butler shared that Zendaya reminded him of a Teen Vogue shoot they did together as kids, which Fallon surprised him with a behind-the-scenes clip from, causing Butler to playfully cringe at his past remarks about wanting to be the first American James Bond.

Discussing ‘Dune: Part Two’, Fallon praised Butler’s portrayal of Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, describing him as frightening. Butler shared his surreal experience meeting musician Sting, who played the same role in the 1984 version of the film.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, ‘Dune: Part Two’ features Chalamet and Zendaya reprising their roles, joined by new faces like Butler, Christopher Walken, and Florence Pugh. The sequel delves into Paul Atreides’ mythic journey as he seeks revenge against those who destroyed his family, facing difficult choices that impact the fate of the universe.

‘Dune: Part Two’ is set to hit theatres on 1st March.
