'Ballerina' Rescheduled for 2025, 'The Crow' Takes Center Stage in June 2024

Lionsgate's ‘Ballerina,’ a spinoff from the ‘John Wick’ franchise starring Ana de Armas, has been rescheduled for a 2025 release. In its place, Rupert Sanders' remake of ‘The Crow’ is set to hit theatres on 7th June 2024, with ‘Ballerina’ following a day later on 6th June 2025.

Insiders reveal that Chad Stahelski, overseeing the ‘John Wick’ franchise, is collaborating with ‘Ballerina’ director Len Wiseman on additional action sequences, leading to the decision to delay the release. Despite strong advance tracking numbers, Lionsgate prefers not to rush ‘Ballerina’ to ensure a polished final product.

Lionsgate's release calendar has expanded with the addition of an untitled Guy Ritchie film scheduled for 17th January 2025. This project reunites Ritchie with Henry Cavill and Eiza González from their upcoming film ‘The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,’ slated for release on 19th April 2024.

The untitled film, written and directed by Ritchie, features Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal as extraction specialists tasked with guiding a senior negotiator (González) to safety.
