Music producer Benny Blanco is changing his perspective on a popular Filipino fast-food chain, Jollibee, after facing backlash for his initial review. The chain, known for its Chicken Joy and unique Filipino-inspired dishes, has rapidly expanded across the U.S.

Blanco, often sharing fast-food reviews on his TikTok account, had initially expressed disappointment in a video titled "my first time trying Jollibee." Despite his Filipino heritage, he criticized the adobo rice and called the chicken "soggy as f---." The video garnered over 5 million views, with many comments expressing disapproval of Blanco's take.

Following the backlash, Blanco posted a follow-up video titled 'Filipino Food Take 2' the next day. In a complete turnaround, he exclaimed, "Holy f---" after taking bites of Jollibee's chicken sandwich, declaring it excellent. Fans had mixed reactions, with some interpreting it as a redemption attempt and others suggesting sarcasm.

Blanco's journey with Jollibee sparked discussion among fans, with comments ranging from supportive to sceptical. The 35-year-old music producer is set to share his recipes in his upcoming cookbook, ‘Open Wide: A Cookbook for Friends,’ but it remains uncertain if Filipino fare will be included.
