Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson Rock ‘Ghostbusters’ Theme on The Tonight Show

On The Tonight Show, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson, the stars of 'Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,' performed the famous theme song from the 1984 film ‘Ghostbusters,’ along with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots, in anticipation of the newest entry in the cherished franchise.

The original musician of the song, Ray Parker Jr., joined the group for this special performance. Clad in tan ‘Ghostbusters’ suits, Parker Jr., Fallon, Murray, and Hudson played the song together using instruments from the classroom. Murray even performed with the kazoo, demonstrating his musical prowess.

In addition to The Roots performing on instruments like ukuleles, melodicas, bongos, and xylophones the size of classrooms, Slimer, the famous green ghost from the first film, made an appearance during this segment.

Murray and Hudson surprised everyone by showing up during Fallon's monologue on Friday night's episode of The Tonight Show. They talked about ‘Frozen Empire’, which is a follow-up to the 2021 film ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ and the fourth entry in the Ghostbusters film series.

While speaking, Murray and Hudson reminisced about their early days in New York City filming ‘Ghostbusters’ and recalled the scepticism they encountered from bystanders when they were filming the music video with Parker Jr.
