After a three-year wait, Billie Elish is gearing up to drop her highly anticipated third album in May. Titled ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft,’ the album is set to hit the shelves on 17th May and fans couldn’t be more excited.
In a cheerful announcement shared on 8th April, Billie expressed her excitement about the upcoming release. “MY THIRD ALBUMMMMMMMMMMMMM COMES OUT MAY 17THHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHH,” she exclaimed, accompanied by a flurry of joyful emojis.
While Billie has kept the album’s details under wraps, she confirmed that there won’t be any singles released ahead of time. “I wanna give it to you all at once,” she explained, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the full album experience.
Although no tracks have been unveiled yet, Billie has been far from quiet since her last album, ‘Happier Than Ever,’ dropped in 2021. With her EP ‘Guitar Songs’ in 2022 and the hit single ‘What Was I Made For?’ from the ‘Barbie’ soundtrack in 2023, she’s shown a penchant for singer-songwriter vibes.
This has led fans to speculate that ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ might feature a more stripped-down, ballad-driven sound, but only time will tell.
Despite the mystery surrounding the album’s sound, Billie reassured fans that she and her brother Finneas are thrilled with the final product. “Finneas and I truly could not be more proud of this album and we absolutely can’t wait for you to hear it.
