Billie Eilish – The Most Mature Artist

While the rest of the industry is making Coronavirus about themselves and their productivity, Billie Eilish is using this time in a very different manner. She isn’t trying to entertain anyone, make topical jokes on Twitter, or live streaming their stream of consciousness.

“I feel like everybody on the internet has been talking about like, they’ve been on FaceTime all day long with their friends,” she said in an interview with Telekom Electronic Beats podcast. “I kind of have this feeling of like, I love my friends, I can’t wait to see them, I do miss them a lot, but at the same time I’m like, I don’t know, I’m good. I haven’t had this time off since I was like 12, so yeah, it’s crazy.”

So one might indeed say that her quarantine looks exactly like ours. Enjoying downtime with no pressures of productivity. She is also spending time catching up with her brother Finneas, and stewing in her own thoughts and creativity.

And if her brother’s predictions are to be believed, we will find musicians coming out with a whole new stream of music in 2021 because of this lockdown. And by that extension, Billie and Finneas would be dishing out to our heart’s content too!
