Billy Ray Cyrus Vows to “Not to Look Back” After Divorce From Firerose

Firerose has revealed that her estranged husband, Billy Ray Cyrus, filed for divorce just one day before her scheduled preventative double mastectomy.

The Australian musician shared details about the final days of her marriage to Cyrus in court documents filed in Tennessee and obtained by sources. Representatives for Billy Ray Cyrus have declined to comment on the matter.

Firerose was identified as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene mutation in early 2020, which significantly increases the risk of developing breast cancer. Following an MRI in March, her doctors strongly advised her to undergo a double mastectomy and reconstruction, with the first surgery scheduled for this year.

As the surgery date approached, Firerose described the situation at home as chaotic, accusing Cyrus of launching verbal assaults and threatening to evict her and file for divorce. She denied any inappropriate marital conduct and instead accused Cyrus of acting in a manner that made her feel unsafe in their home.

Cyrus filed an emergency motion seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent Firerose from accessing his personal and business credit cards and accounts, alleging that she had made nearly $100,000 in unauthorised purchases after their separation.

In her response, Firerose denied the allegations, stating there was no emergency and that she had been using the credit card for the past two years. Her attorneys argued that she was merely maintaining her lifestyle as it had been since 2023 and that Cyrus had no right to cut her off financially during the divorce proceedings.
