Blake Lively Shares Passion For Floristry in Heartfelt Post: “Straight up Peace”

In a reflective Instagram post, Blake Lively opened up about her long-standing love for floristry, a passion she’s cherished since her teenage years in the city. Sharing her thoughts with her followers, the former ‘Gossip Girl ‘star revealed, “I’ve always thought I was a florist, well before playing one,” referencing her role as florist Lily Bloom in the upcoming film ‘It Ends with Us’.

Lively detailed her floristic journey, explaining, “I buy corner store flowers, take them home, reassemble them & give them new life.” She described how this hobby has served as both a creative outlet and a meditative practice since she moved to the city at 19. For Lively, floristry offers “design, interaction with nature, and multi-sensory joy,” making her feel “like the luckiest person on the planet” whenever she has the chance to create fresh arrangements.

In her candid post, Lively admitted to being “straight up peace” while engaging in this craft, adding a touch of humour with, “No there’s no joke coming. Just me being earnest about flowers. Ugh pure sincerity. I hate it here 😵‍💫🫠🥰.” This lighthearted remark underscored her genuine affection for the art form.

The Instagram carousel included photos from a special moment when Lively arranged flowers with her ‘It Ends with Us’ costar, Isabela Ferrer, who plays a younger version of Lily in the film. Lively expressed her excitement, noting, “It’s neat to see our personalities come through in the flowers,” and shared her fascination with how creative mediums reveal different facets of people. She proudly showcased their arrangements, describing herself as a “proud peacock” over their floral creations.

‘It Ends with Us’, based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, is set to be released soon.
