Blake Lively Shares Unique ‘Family Portrait’ With Husband Ryan Reynolds 

Blake Lively shared an unconventional family portrait on her Instagram Stories. The 36-year-old actress gave a playful nod to her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as his film ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ hits theatres, while her romantic drama, ‘It Ends with Us’, is set for release next month.

The post featured a photo taken by ‘It Ends with Us’ author Colleen Hoover, showing posters for both films side by side in a movie theatre. Lively captioned it “Family portrait,” tagging the films’ and Hoover’s Instagram accounts. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ premieres on 26th July, and ‘It Ends with Us’ arrives on 9th August.

In an interview with PEOPLE in April, Lively expressed her love for her role as Lily in her upcoming film, noting the character’s significant impact on many people. “Stepping into a character who’s had such a meaningful impact is an honour to take on,” Lively said. She hopes that the love for Lily is felt by both long-time fans and new viewers.

‘It Ends with Us’ follows Lily Bloom as she navigates a relationship with a passionate man named Ryle (played by Justin Baldoni, who also directs the film). As abuse patterns emerge, Lily reconnects with her former flame Atlas (played by Brandon Sklenar, with Alex Neustaedter in flashbacks).

Meanwhile, Reynolds, 47, shared little about his new film in a May interview with PEOPLE, but he did talk about his friendship with Hugh Jackman and parenting advice from director Shawn Levy. Reynolds emphasized the importance of children seeing their parents’ failures as well as their successes. “You don’t get what you want all the time. It’s important for [your kids] to see that and not just hear, ‘Oh, Dad nailed it.’ Because you lose so much more than you win.”

Reynolds and Lively share four children: daughters Betty, James, and Inez, along with a fourth baby whose name and sex have not been announced.
