Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ Gets New Release Date

A new release date for Blake Lively’s much-awaited movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s ‘It Ends With Us’ has been confirmed by PEOPLE. The movie is expected to premiere in theatres this summer. The debut was originally slated for 9th February but it was moved to 21st June. As a result, viewers will now have to wait until 9th August to see it.

Alongside Justin Baldoni, who plays Ryle Kincaid, the guy Lily falls in love with, Lively, who also holds the position of executive producer, assumes the primary role of Lily Bloom. The adaption is likewise directed by Baldoni. Filming began in Jersey City, New Jersey, in May 2023, but was interrupted by a writers’ strike. It resumed in early 2024.

Brandon Sklenar plays Atlas Corrigan, Lily’s first love; Alex Neustaedter and Isabela Ferrer play the protagonists as children. Ryle’s sister Allysa is portrayed by Jenny Slate.

Although Lively and Baldoni’s casting selections caused some criticism because they were older than their respective characters, Hoover defended her choice to choose more experienced actors and acknowledged that she had made the mistake of initially giving the book’s characters lower ages.
