Bon Jovi Returns With New Album ‘Forever’ And Single, ‘Legendary’

Bon Jovi fans rejoice! The legendary rock band is back with a new album and a powerful new single. Their 16th studio album, titled ‘Forever,’ is set for release in June via Island Records.

“This record is a return to joy,” says frontman Jon Bon Jovi, now 62, in a statement. He emphasises the album’s uplifting spirit, promising “turn up the volume, feel good Bon Jovi” from start to finish. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band, have also unveiled the album’s lead single, ‘Legendary.’

Jon’s soaring vocals deliver lines like “Got what I want ’cause I got what I need / Got a fistful of friends that’ll stand up for me / Right where I am is where I wanna be / Friday night comes around like a song / ‘Sweet Caroline,’ and we all sing along / Got my brown-eyed girl, and she believes in me / Legendary.” The accompanying music video features the band performing in a picturesque field bathed in moonlight.

This year marks a double celebration for Bon Jovi.  In addition to the new album, a four-part documentary titled ‘Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story’ is set to premiere. This is the first-ever authorised documentary featuring the full cooperation of all past and present band members.

Fans can expect a deep dive into Bon Jovi’s history, with rare behind-the-scenes footage, never-before-seen photos, and demo songs. The documentary will explore the band’s rise to fame and their creative journey over the years and even address Jon’s recent vocal struggles.

Jon, who began experiencing vocal issues, spoke openly about his health challenges while promoting the documentary in late February. “My craft was being taken from me,” he said, referring to his “atrophying” vocal cords. “I say in the film, and in the latter episodes, if I just had my tools back, the rest of it I can deal with,” he continued.

“I can write you a song, I can perform as well as anybody. But I need to get my tools back.” With a brand new album and a revealing documentary on the horizon, Bon Jovi is gearing up for a momentous year.
