Bones Owens Preps For New Album Release, Upcoming Tour And Motorcycle Adventure

Bones Owens, the seasoned Nashville musician known for his bluesy rock style, has a story of determination and resilience as he prepares for an epic motorcycle journey to California. In an intimate conversation, Owens shared the challenges he faced in his previous attempts to make this cross-country trip, highlighting his unwavering spirit and love for adventure.

Reflecting on his past experiences, Owens recalled his initial decision to ride to California a decade ago. However, mechanical issues with his bike forced him to turn back near El Paso, Texas. Determined to fulfil his dream, Owens planned another attempt in October of 2023 but encountered a setback when he collided with a deer, fracturing his ankle.

Undeterred by these obstacles, Owens is gearing up for his third attempt next month, riding solo on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle across the Midwest. This journey holds a special significance as it coincides with the release of his upcoming album, 'Love Out of Lemons,' slated for July.

Discussing his musical approach, Owens expressed his desire to infuse a more laid-back vibe into his new album, contrasting with his previous rock records. He emphasised the importance of taking moments to breathe within the music, showcasing a range of emotions and experiences.

Owens's musical influences, deeply rooted in classic rock bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival, shine through in his latest work. He delved into the essence of influences and the evolution of sound, sharing his fascination with tracing back to the original inspirations that shaped his musical journey.
