Brad Paisley Welcomes Post Malone For Grand Ole Opry Debut: “Come Play it With Me”

The ‘Circles’ singer received a personal invitation to perform at the Grand Ole Opry from none other than country music star Brad Paisley. The singer extended the invite through the Opry's official social media accounts, where he posed a "special question" to Malone in a video.

"Hey, Post. Brad, here. So, what I’m about to ask is going to mean a lot to you, I think, knowing you and knowing the respect you have for country music and this journey that you’re embarking on now as a hillbilly singer — which is gonna be massive and remarkable for both country music and you,” Paisley started. "Would you like to play the Opry?" he asked Malone. "Come play it with me. Total invite and it’s gonna be the first of many appearances, I have a feeling for you."

The ‘Whiskey Lullaby’ singer wrapped up the invitation by encouraging Malone to "come experience what it’s like to play the show that started it all." He added, "You and I can jam together, and a lot of your friends will be there.”

Malone's Grand Ole Opry debut is scheduled to be held at the iconic Opry House in Nashville. The event will feature performances from Opry members like Paisley, newly inducted Lainey Wilson, and Vince Gill, as well as other country acts such as The War and Treaty, John Michael Montgomery, and more.

Malone's transition into country music has been getting considerable attention ever since he announced his forthcoming debut country album. The LP includes his three latest singles: ‘Guy for That’ with Luke Combs, ‘Pour Me a Drink’ with Blake Shelton, and ‘I Had Some Help’, a chart-topping collaboration with Morgan Wallen.

While it's currently unclear which other country stars will be featured on the album, Paisley revealed during a late-night TV appearance that he had been in the studio with Malone.
