Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Are Very Close To Finalizing Divorce Settlement

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sent shockwaves around the globe when they announced their split back in 2016, a mere two years into their marriage.

According to documents obtained, both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have exchanged detailed financial information, including bank statements, income statements and expenses, as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings. This step is crucial in the process of finalizing their divorce in court.

The divorce saga began in 2016 when Angelina filed for divorce from Brad following an incident aboard a private plane. She accused Brad of being under the influence and behaving aggressively towards her and some of their children. Despite investigations by authorities, no criminal charges were filed.

In a bid to seek transparency, Angelina filed a lawsuit against the FBI to access records related to the investigation. She also raised concerns about being informed of Brad's non-prosecution through the media rather than directly by an involved agent. This federal lawsuit is still pending.

Initially, a private judge appointed by the couple granted Brad joint custody. However, Angelina later learned that the judge had undisclosed connections to Brad's legal team. Alleging bias, she appealed the decision, seeking its reversal.

The 2nd District Court of Appeal sided with Angelina, ruling that the judge's undisclosed connections warranted invalidation of the joint custody decision. Brad's subsequent appeal was unsuccessful.

Following the denial of Brad's appeal, Angelina's lawyer expressed her satisfaction, emphasizing her focus on the well-being of their children and her relief that their welfare won't be impacted by unethical conduct.

The couple's disagreements extended to Angelina's sale of her stake in a French winery, jointly owned with Brad, to a Russian oligarch. Brad has contested this sale in court, seeking its reversal, especially considering the substantial eight-figure sum Angelina received.

In December 2023, Angelina opened up about her divorce from Brad, highlighting the importance of their children in her life and acknowledging the challenges they've faced as a family. She also mentioned scaling back her career in recent years to prioritize her family's healing process.
