Brad Pitt has revealed that he would consider reuniting with Tom Cruise for a new film—but only under one clear condition: the project must avoid the high-octane stunts that Cruise has become famous for.
The two Hollywood heavyweights previously starred together in the 1994 gothic drama 'Interview With the Vampire', based on Anne Rice’s bestselling novel. In that film, Cruise took on a rare villainous role as the charismatic but deadly vampire Lestat, who lures Pitt’s character Louis into a dark and immortal existence. Despite the film’s success and both actors' continued rise in Hollywood, they haven’t collaborated again in over 30 years.

Brad Pitt Reflects on Working with Tom Cruise
While promoting his upcoming racing film 'F1', Brad Pitt reflected on their past working relationship in an interview with E! He described Tom Cruise as a kind person and recalled fond memories of the two racing go-karts in the 1990s, admitting that Cruise had the upper hand on the track. When asked whether he would consider working with the 'Mission: Impossible' star again, Brad Pitt made it clear he has no desire to perform death-defying stunts. He jokingly noted that he'd only be interested in a project if the action stayed firmly on the ground.
'F1', Brad Pitt's highly anticipated film about the high-stakes world of Formula One racing, hits theatres on 25th June. The movie has already generated buzz, especially after BLACKPINK’s Rosé announced she would be contributing a new track to the film’s soundtrack—her first release since her 2024 solo album Rosie.

Cruise’s thrill-packed career is still running full throttle, with no signs of hitting the brakes anytime soon. Director Christopher McQuarrie recently confirmed that a third 'Top Gun' film is already in development, signalling that Cruise is still fully committed to high-flying action and blockbuster thrills.
Though fans may continue to hope for another on-screen collaboration between the two stars, it appears that Pitt is more interested in grounded storytelling, both literally and creatively.
