Brad Pitt’s ‘Formula 1’ Movie Receives Exciting High-Profile Update

Apple Original Films has announced the release date for its highly anticipated ‘Formula 1’ movie starring Brad Pitt. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ the film will be released globally in theatres in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures on 27th June 2025, with an international release starting on 25th June 2025.

The film will also be available in IMAX, enhancing its stunning visuals and sound to make viewers feel as if they are on the tracks at Silverstone, Monte Carlo, Hockenheim, and more.

Brad Pitt stars as a former driver returning to ‘Formula 1,’ joined by Damson Idris as his teammate at the fictional team APXGP. The cast includes Academy Award-nominee Kerry Condon, Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem, Emmy Award-winner Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo.

The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment, and Lewis Hamilton’s Dawn Apollo Films, with producers Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Lewis Hamilton. The screenplay is by Academy Award-nominee Ehren Kruger, and Penni Thow of Copper serves as the executive producer.

Lewis Hamilton expressed high hopes for the project, aiming to make it the best racing movie ever, both visually and emotionally. The film’s authenticity is enhanced by filming during actual Grand Prix weekends and collaboration with all 10 F1 teams, their drivers, the FIA, and race promoters. Kosinski’s filmmaking style, highlighted in the intense dogfight scenes of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, will bring viewers into the heart of the high-speed action.
