Bradley Cooper Tearfully Reflects on Rocket Raccoon's Journey in 'Guardians of The Galaxy'

Bradley Cooper, renowned for lending his voice to the beloved character Rocket Raccoon in various Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) instalments, embarked on this journey with the iconic 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise since its inception. 

Speaking at a Q&A session during the Santa Barbara Film Festival, where he was honoured as an outstanding performer of the year for his role in Maestro, Cooper delved into the emotional depth of Rocket Raccoon's story.

Expressing profound affection for his character, Cooper revealed his deep connection to Rocket, particularly in anticipation of the third Guardians film. He recounted a poignant moment during discussions with director James Gunn, where he was moved to tears upon learning Rocket's origin story. Cooper lauded Gunn's directorial prowess, emphasising the enjoyable and collaborative nature of their work together.

Detailing the unique process of voicing Rocket Raccoon, Cooper described the unconventional yet engaging approach taken on set. He highlighted the camaraderie and creativity fostered by Gunn's leadership, likening their recording sessions to a theatrical performance.

Reflecting on the unexpected longevity of the Guardians franchise, Cooper expressed gratitude for the opportunity to portray Rocket for over a decade, a prospect he initially deemed improbable. His sentiments echoed the collective disbelief among the cast and crew as the franchise continued to evolve and captivate audiences.

'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,' marking the culmination of Rocket Raccoon's narrative arc, premiered in theatres. Before its official release, the film was celebrated during a special screening event, attended by franchise star Chris Pratt, who portrays the charismatic Star-Lord/Peter Quill.
