In recent years, Camila Cabello faced a wave of online trolling and body shaming, which reached a peak where she had to address the issue on TikTok, discussing the natural occurrence of cellulite in women. Despite her efforts to ignore the negativity, the situation became overwhelming.

Cabello subsequently announced her decision to take a break from social media, explaining her choice through an Instagram story. She stated, “Really wanted to send love to everyone here—I don’t go on social media that much cause it’s not good for me, and I don’t know how to not be affected by what people say on here, so I just don’t read it.” She acknowledged the potential for social media to be a force for good, but chose to distance herself to maintain her well-being.

The singer shared that stepping away from focusing on her physical appearance had contributed to her sense of peace and overall improvement in her quality of life. Her openness about her mental health struggles received a supportive response from fans.
