Camila Cabello Says Drake Has a Song on ‘C,XOXO’ Because She Was in a ‘Rebellious Mood’

Fans of Camila Cabello are in for a delightful surprise as her upcoming fourth studio album, ‘C,XOXO,’ will feature not one, but two guest appearances from the renowned rapper Drake. This exciting collaboration promises to add an extra layer of musical brilliance to Cabello’s highly anticipated project.

In a candid cover story interview with Billboard, the ‘Havana’ singer opened up about the creative process behind her new album. With palpable excitement, she revealed that Drake would grace not only a track titled ‘Hot Uptown’ but also contribute a solo performance on an interlude called ‘Uuugly.’

Cabello’s decision to include Drake’s solo track was fueled by her admiration for the rapper’s artistry. Expressing a touch of playful selfishness, she admitted her desire to have Drake’s voice resonate throughout her album. The interlude, titled ‘Uuugly’, showcases Drake’s signature swagger, with Cabello lending her vocals as backup, creating a rebellious and empowering mood.

In addition to Drake’s contributions, ‘C,XOXO’ boasts an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Playboi Carti, Lil Nas X, The-Dream, City Girls, and BLP Kosher. However, Cabello emphasised Drake’s status as “the f—ing GOAT,” acknowledging that securing his involvement felt like “shooting for the stars.”

The collaboration between Cabello and Drake began with a casual Instagram DM, where the Fifth Harmony album reached out to share her music. As their rapport grew, Drake expressed his genuine appreciation for the album, leading to their creative partnership blossoming from a place of authentic connection.

Cabello had previously teased the collaboration during an appearance on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast, addressing the viral photos of her and Drake jet skiing together in Turks and Caicos. She described the excursion as a “homie, friends trip,” emphasising the deep respect and admiration she holds for Drake’s artistry.
