Cardi B Files for Divorce from Offset Again After 6 Years of Marriage
Cardi B and Offset are ending their relationship once again. Cardi B, 31, filed for divorce from Offset, 32, after six years of marriage. A representative for the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper confirmed to PEOPLE that the split isn’t due to cheating rumours but has been a long time coming.
The news was first reported by the New York Post’s Page Six. According to the outlet, Cardi B seeks primary custody of their two children, daughter Kulture Kiari, 6, and son Wave Set, 2½. The divorce filing has not been made public. Cardi B announced on Instagram that she was pregnant with her third child just hours after the news of the divorce was revealed. She expressed gratitude for the new beginning and the love it has brought her.

This announcement comes over seven months after Cardi B candidly shared on Instagram Live that she had been single for a while and was looking forward to a fresh start. Despite spending time together on New Year’s Eve and collaborating on a music video in March, the couple’s relationship has remained tumultuous.
Cardi B and Offset have had an on-and-off relationship since their marriage in September 2017, often due to Offset’s alleged infidelity. They previously split in 2018 and Cardi filed for divorce in September 2020, which was later called off.
In a 2020 interview with ELLE, Cardi acknowledged the drama in their relationship but emphasized the strong love, passion, and friendship they shared. However, the couple faced renewed struggles in June 2023 when Offset accused Cardi of cheating, which she vehemently denied. Despite celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary in September with heartfelt messages on Instagram, it seems their relationship could not withstand the ongoing issues.
Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has been marked by highs and lows, but this latest development indicates a new chapter for both.
