Charli XCX has given fans a sneak peek into her much-anticipated upcoming album, 'Brat', along with details on its release through her social media channels.

The songstress took to her official Instagram account, where she posted a picture of a vibrant lime green cover with the title 'Brat' emblazoned across it. In the caption, she excitedly announced: "'Brat' – this summer. 15 songs. 41:23 minutes long. on repeat."

Charli XCX has previously hinted that her forthcoming album will be a dance record, harking back to her origins in club music. Recently, she offered a tantalising glimpse of her new track 'Von Dutch' by sharing a 20-second snippet on social media, hinting that it might be the first single from her sixth studio album.

Taking to X, the musician elaborated further on her new record, expressing that it was the album she had "always" aspired to create and that it is deeply rooted in her passion for club music. She wrote: "I was born to make dance music...I came from the clubs..xcx6 is the album I’ve always wanted to make."

Charli's announcement of her new album follows her recent appearance at Boiler Room, which she first revealed on social media earlier this month. She disclosed that A.G. Cook, George Daniel (The 1975) and Easyfun were all set to join her for the event.
