Cher has spilled the tea on her much-anticipated memoir, admitting she had a moment of cold feet in the past. Chatting with Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show,’ the iconic singer revealed that putting pen to paper was more daunting than she thought.
“I just totally chickened out,” the singer confessed, explaining that some uncomfortable yet essential details were left out initially. Now, she’s mustering the courage to revisit those moments. “I’ve lived too long and done too much, so it should be the encyclopedia,” she quipped, tongue firmly in cheek.

The 77-year-old ‘Believe’ singer acknowledged the ongoing work on her tell-all, hinting at the reluctance to reveal parts of her life not yet ready for the limelight. Fallon commented, “It’s beyond therapy. It’s tough.”
Originally announced in 2017, Cher teased that her memoir would be no light read. Fallon, in his usual humourous style, tossed around title ideas like ‘I Got Scoops, Babe’ and ‘Over-Cher-Ing,’ to which Cher responded with a subtle headshake.
As Fallon granted Cher permission to include him in the book, she burst into laughter, envisioning a substantial tome. ‘The Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ star had earlier mentioned in August that the project was nearing completion, with Harper Collins eagerly awaiting its delivery.

While the memoir progresses, Cher has been spreading festive cheer with her new Christmas single, ‘DJ Play A Christmas Song,’ showcased at a Thanksgiving parade in New York. The track is part of her recently released album ‘Christmas,’ featuring a star-studded lineup including Stevie Wonder, Michael Bublé, Cyndi Lauper, Tyga, and Darlene Love.
Recorded in the musical hubs of LA and London, ‘Christmas’ is a proud creation for Cher, produced by her longtime collaborator Mark Taylor, known for their collaboration on the hit 1998 album ‘Believe.’ Cher, rarely one to boast about her records, declared, “It is one of the most amazing highlights of my career.”
