The rumours have been confirmed: Chris Evans is officially back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Steve Rogers' life has taken an unexpected turn.
Marvel released the first teaser for 'Avengers: Doomsday,' revealing that Captain America is now a father. The short, dialogue-free clip shows Steve Rogers riding his motorcycle to a quiet farmhouse as the familiar Avengers theme plays. Inside, he's seen gently holding a newborn baby, clearly overwhelmed and amazed by the moment.
The teaser shows Steve pulling his Captain America suit out of storage. He pauses to look at it, suggesting a moment of reflection about the life he once lived. The clip ends on a black screen with text confirming that Steve Rogers will return in 'Avengers: Doomsday.'
The teaser arrives after leaked footage circulated online and after the preview reportedly played in select theatres during early screenings of 'Avatar: Fire and Ash.' A separate teaser centred on Thor and Chris Hemsworth has also been rumoured to appear online.
Thoughts on 'Avengers: Doomsday'
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who are returning to helm the film, shared their thoughts on Instagram, saying the character changed their lives and that this story was always meant to come full circle.

Evans had previously suggested he was done with the role, calling himself happily retired from playing Captain America. However, reports last year revealed he would return for the new Avengers film.
Fans last saw Steve Rogers at the end of 'Avengers: Endgame' in 2019. After completing his mission through time, he aged naturally and passed the Captain America shield to Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, who stepped into the role.
'Avengers: Doomsday' is scheduled to hit theatres on 18th December 2026.
