Chris Pratt Open to Joining The DCU After Meeting Director James Gunn

Chris Pratt expressed his enthusiasm for potentially joining the DC Universe (DCU). Recently, the actor visited the set of ‘Superman: Legacy’, where director James Gunn shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram. During an interview, Pratt was asked about this visit and the possibility of him entering the DCU. Having made his mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Star-Lord in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, Pratt indicated he would be interested in crossing over to DC. 

When questioned by TMZ about his interest in joining the DC superhero universe, Pratt enthusiastically responded affirmatively, stating that if the opportunity arose and it fit into his schedule, he would love to explore it.

However, Pratt did not specify which character he would like to portray, leaving that decision to fans and directors like James Gunn.

He expressed gratitude for his role as Star-Lord and his willingness to potentially return to the MCU. Gunn, who has directed Pratt in several MCU films, including the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ series and ‘Avengers’ films, recently posted a photo of Pratt on the set of ‘Superman: Legacy’, highlighting their continued collaboration.

While Pratt and Gunn have a close working relationship, Gunn emphasized that any decision to cast Pratt in a DCU film would be based on merit rather than their personal rapport. 

Gunn also mentioned in an interview with Empire that discussions about potential crossovers between actors from Marvel and DC have been casual and light-hearted, acknowledging the possibility given his involvement with DC projects.

Gunn's openness to considering actors like Pratt for DC roles reflects a growing trend of crossover potential between the Marvel and DC universes under his direction.
