Christina Perri Still Loves ‘Twilight’

Christina Perri’s adoration for the ‘Twilight’ movie series remains unwavering.

The singer, known for her iconic song ‘A Thousand Years’ featured in ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ in 2011, revealed that she still finds herself drawn to the beloved fantasy films whenever they appear on television.

“Whenever they’re on TV, you can bet I won’t be changing the channel,” she shared with PEOPLE at Audacy’s Leading Ladies event. “If I stumble upon them while flipping through channels in a hotel, it’s a must-watch!” Perri disclosed that she last indulged in a full ‘Twilight’ movie marathon during the pandemic in 2020, emphasizing, “They are like family to me!”

The film series, based on Stephenie Meyer’s novels, propelled stars like Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson to fame, capturing audiences with its enchanting tale of love and supernatural intrigue.

Perri’s song served as the lead single for one of the films, adding emotional depth to the romance between Bella and Edward.

In her personal life, Perri faced challenges with fertility alongside her husband Paul Costabile. Despite experiencing heartbreaking losses, including a miscarriage and the loss of her daughter Rosie shortly after birth, the couple found solace in the arrival of their daughter Pixie, born in 2022.
